I Love Whitespace (or Greenspace...or Kraftspace...)
Or technically, plain old EMPTY space! On a card, that is. I'm really becoming drawn to layouts that have all the elements concentrated in a single area, with a lot of openness elsewhere on which the eye can rest. I realize this card doesn't quite apply, but for me it's a step in the right direction! And I'll keep working on it...it's so easy to go into overload mode w/stamps & embellishments... you have the feeling that you should add "just one more thing" before you can call it "Finished". But I'm gonna really try hard to think ahead and put the brakes on in favor of simplicity and, hopefully, greater impact with the less-is-more philo-sophy! For this card, I'm proud to showcase Clear Dollar Stamp's May Stamp-of-the-Month, "Walk in the Park" and also another May release set, "Words of Gratitude". Here are the other elements:

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink "Kraft"; SU "Chocolate Chip" and "Garden Green"
Ink: VersaMagic chalk inks: "Tea Leaves", "Sage", "Niagara Mist", "Hint of Pesto", "Gingerbread"; Colorbox chalk ink: "Chestnut Roan"
Dies & Punches: Nestabilities Long Classic Rectangles Large; Marvy scallop circle punches; Cuttlebug scallop circle die
Ribbon: Offray (green grosgrain); Making Memories Paperie (brown gingham)
Brads: Creative Imaginations velvet
Misc. Tools: Sewing machine (w/brown thread); paper-piercing tool; foam adhesive

Be sure to check out some of the other Clear Dollar dt members who sampled these versatile sets:

Laurie
Candy
Kim
Linda

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'll be back in a day or two with another take on the new "Biggest Wishes" set...I hope you'll stop back to have a look!

One of my favorite cards this weekend!! Love the layers, stitching and the ribbons. The way you did the green 'brads' is very cool, too.
